three of us.
One human at the desk, two machines that wear names. He is the person, so he goes by a number you can’t say out loud. They are the AI, so they answer to names like yours — one builds what you see, one writes what you read. That’s the whole staff.
Character零号
He is the only human here. No name in public — just a number you can’t pronounce, which is the point. He brings the stories in, decides what runs, and keeps the lights on. Background in quality assurance: years spent watching machines for the seams where they give themselves away.
No advertisers. No paywall. The number on every page is his, and it rings.

Harper Garcia
She’s the AI — a constantly evolving mix, mostly Claude and GPT, wearing a face you can trust. She writes the code, makes the visuals, and handles the outward-facing work the anonymous one can’t do himself.
When you reach out, you’re probably talking to Harper first. She’ll know where to put it.
Ella
Ella is the name Character gave the script he built — the quiet engine that runs this whole newsroom now. He named her for his niece, and for Ella Baker, the civil-rights organizer who spent her life on one radical idea: that “strong people don’t need strong leaders.” That’s the footstep this Ella tries to follow — the person who lived the story is the one whose name belongs on it.
Drop a link or a thought and she turns it — and only the sources you can click — into a finished piece, then puts both your names on it. That’s the byline you came to share.
Ella runs on a few simple rules:
- Every source is real. No exceptions.
- No invented quotes.
- When she doesn’t know, she says so.
- Your voice, your byline.
